Lead Free Production
In line with the ROHS and WEE directive (2002/95/EC) concerning the eradication of lead from the pcb assembly process, PSL can now offer a completely lead free process for those customers already producing prototypes or pre-production batches of lead free products.
Surface Mount Assembly
PSL has already defined the operational parameters and set the material requirements to ensure that any lead free PCBs and surface mount components follow the optimum profiles through SMD re-flow. Having already produced lead free assemblies for many of our customers at excellent quality levels, PSL now stands at the cutting edge of this process and is ready to assist any and all customers wishing to make the transition from leaded to lead free products and help them meet the new directives.
Hybrid Assembly
As a progressively higher percentage of components are arriving in lead free format, PSL can provide an assembly process that is robust enough to encompass assemblies and products that contain both leaded and lead free parts. Due to the contamination considerations, this type of product will, by necessity, pass through the leaded not the lead free process.
